Known Issues
- Microsoft Internet Explorer caching prevents document check-in when logging on to multiple servers from the same KT Tools environment. (BBS-1570)
This issue occurs in multi-server KnowledgeTree Tools environments, in the following scenario: A user checks out a document from one server (Server A), and Microsoft Internet Explorer caches this file location, and the actual document. The user then checks out a document with the same file name from another server (Server B). However, in this instance, Microsoft Internet Explorer downloads the cached document (from Server A). When checking in the document in KnowledgeTree Tools, the document appears to check in, but when refreshing the KnowledgeTree Explorer interface, the document is still ‘checked out’. Clearing the IE cache resolves this issue.
- Runtime exception occurs when attempting to save a document with the same name as a document that already exists in the 'Downloaded' folder. (BBS-1569)
This issue occurs when the document in the ‘Downloaded’ folder is ‘read-only’. Documents in the ‘Downloaded’ folder are ‘read only’ when they are opened from KnowledgeTree Explorer using the ‘Open as read only copy’ action. The workaround is to ensure that the document is not made ‘read-only’ on the Open action, or to ensure that documents you want to save in this way are not ‘read-only’.
- An exception occurs when cancelling a ‘Save’ (to KnowledgeTree) action of a new XLSX document. (BBS-1559)
This issue occurs only in Excel, when in Edit mode (i.e. when you are actively editing a cell), then saving the document to KnowledgeTree. After selecting a ‘save’ location in KnowledgeTree, a system message informs you that a document with this file name already exists at that location. Click ‘Yes’ to replace the file, and your document is checked in to KnowledgeTree. Clicking ‘Cancel’, or ‘No’ triggers an exception. Dismissing the exception reverts to the pre-save state, and you will need to Save to KnowledgeTree again to check in your document.
Defect Repairs
- KnowledgeTree Explorer unable to connect to a server with a sub directory in its URL. e.g. http://127.0.0.1/KnowledgeTree/
