LDAP and Active Directory login workaround
From KnowledgeTree Community
Description
After upgrade to KnowledgeTree 3.5.4 from 3.5.2x certain users authenticating against Active Directory or LDAP are unable to login. This issue occurs as the result of a security patch applied in the upgrade (more info).
How do I know if I have this issue?
You have this issue if all of the following are true:
- 1) Certain users are unable to login
- 2) The user's 'authetication_details_s1' attribute in the database is set to 'NULL' (More detail)
Solution
Our engineers have released a script designed to rebuild any broken user accounts. To run the script please do as follow:
- 1) Please ensure that you backup your KnowledgeTree database;
- 2) Download the script archive from the following address:
http://kt-download.s3.amazonaws.com/customer-files/ldap_patch.zip
- 3) Extract the script into the following directory:
/<KnowledgeTree Directory>/knowledgeTree/
- 4) Open your Internet Browser and point it to the following address:
http(s)://<your_server_address>/ldap_patch.php?mode=update
