Uninstalling the KnowledgeTree 3.6.1 Stack

The following instructions detail steps required to uninstall the KnowledgeTree 3.6.1 Stack on Windows and Linux.

Uninstalling KnowledgeTree 3.6.1 on Windows

Note: Due to a path conflict, the KnowledgeTree Document Thumbnails feature will not function until you have uninstalled the old KnowledgeTree 3.6.1 Stack.

1) Click on Start

2) Click on All Programs

3) Click on KnowledgeTree Commercial (note that this is the old KnowledgeTree 3.6 installation, the 3.7 installion is under the KnowledgeTree in the programs menu)

4) Click on Uninstall

5) Follow the uninstall wizard

Note that uninstalling KnowledgeTree 3.6.1 will not delete the Documents directory from the KnowledgeTree 3.6.1 installation folder (Default: c:\Program Files\ktdms\Documents)

Important Note

Uninstalling KnowledgeTree 3.6.1 may uninstall your KnowledgeTree 3.7 Services. To reinstall them, please do as follows:

1) Click on Start

2) Click on All Programs

3) Click on KnowledgeTree

4) Click on Services

5) Click on Install Services

6) Restart the KnowledgeTree Services

Uninstalling KnowledgeTree 3.6.1 on Linux

1) Open the terminal

2) Browse to the KnowledgeTree directory (Default: /opt/ktdms)

3) Run the uninstall script

$ sudo ./uninstall

Note that uninstalling KnowledgeTree 3.6.1 will not delete the Documents directory from the KnowledgeTree 3.6.1 installation folder (Default: /opt/ktdms/Documents)
